We had a superb weekend. The bunk house is the best I have ever beenin, and we will definately be back

Tegid was the most patient person I have ever met when he took us out for a guiding/instruction session. We are both new to mountain biking, and our SPD's. Even after several falling off sessions, accompanied by much laughter, he just carried on!! We learnt so much from him and cannot recommend it highly enough for other newbies like us. I hope he will be as patient next time!!

Anyone just thinking about going to reditreks, don't think, DO IT!!!

Thank you so much once again

Thanks for a great weekend ! The riding around Mach is excellent and your local knowledge on the guided rides was invaluable - especially showing us those secret spots (steeps !). As we may have mentioned the final section of the Climachx is AWESOME, Teamphaff best time for final 2.5 miles just over 8 minutes, (Dave B).

The facilities at the bunkbarn are excellent - everything to a very high standard. One comment - please get a "tea pot" !

Thanks again for a great weekend - We will be back !

Teamphaff..

An Excellent Guided Ride.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great day's mountain biking. Tegid's in-depth knowledge of the routes around Machynlleth allowed us to fit in a wide variety of riding in one day. The Cli-machx trail in the afternoon was amazing, with the final long swooping descent that beats anything that Coed y Brenin has to offer!

From my brief look at the bunkhouse I was very impressed with how clean and new it all looked. I'll certainly be coming back to stay in the bunkhouse and ride the Cli-machx again... and again!

We stayed for six days in early May and had a cracking time. The bunkhouse is excellent. Absolutely immaculate and all decor is brand new. It was obviously designed from the ground up with all mountain biking requirements catered for. Might be worth taking additional locks for the bike store as the main lock into which the padlock fits is plastic. Also pack some foam ear plugs as the fire door springs are so strong the doors make a right old din if people are getting up in themiddle of the night after a few beers. That said, it gets a 10/10 accross the board.Warm, dry and cosy. The town is not at all touristy and there are a couple of reasonable watering holes in the main street. The tandori is excellent and friendly too. Also a couple of decent supermarkets ie spar shop and co op both open till late. The riding around the local area is superb. Nant y Arian is particularly good as is the last mile of the new Cli-machs which is unbelievable. Just for a change, the train station is nearby and a lovely trip can be had along the coastal line up to Cricceith which is a fiver return and goes over the famous wooden bridge at Barmouth and right past Portmerion. Bunkhouse owners are very helpful and a joy to deal with.

Thanks for a cool few days Tegid, and all your trail advice and time showing us the great riding in the area. The bunkhouse really is the business - a real haven for muddy bikers. We look forward to returning to Mach in the not too distant future.

Hi,

Just a quick note to say how good the bunkhouse accommodation was!  Its gone straight to the top of the list of biking places to stay – its an excellent facility.  Add on the meal at the Taj Mahal and a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning and Mach managed to tick all the boxes.  Shame about the rain on Sunday though, we were like drowned rats as we retreated off Cadair – the puncture (plus torn tyre) didn’t help matters at all!

Cheers
